All of us shape the space we are in by the way we move, how we feel and by what we wear. My garments are a perfect blend of high-fashion aesthetic and functional design, made for the evolved woman who knows who she is and wishes to have an impact on the space she is in.

I am forever a lover of theater, of its magic. I started writing plays for myself and the neighbors when I was 8 years old. The primary feature of these plays was that I was the heroine and I got to wear my mother’s black velvet evening coat with the white satin lining. Throughout high school, college and well beyond I have acted, danced, and directed in California, Colorado, Minnesota and in Greece.
Meanwhile, with the other side of my brain, I worked in education as a teacher, director of curriculum, director of arts programming, principal and finally as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Minnesota. In those years I came to understand the necessity of both the arts and the sciences in the creation of a truly evolved human being.
Over time, I have collected a BA in English and Theater and a Teaching Specialist license from the University of California, Berkeley; Principal and Superintendent Licenses from California State University, Hayward, CA; and a Ph.D in Education Administration from the University of Minnesota.
Evocative of the elegant, bittersweet world of Chekhov - this long coat, with its high angled collar, contrast cuffs, tucked back, set in sleeves, full lining and buttoned front -
is stylish, warm and easy to wear.
A night at the theater, perhaps?
Perhaps I always wanted to be a fighter pilot because the line of a bomber jacket has always appealed to me. Here is a take on the bomber jacket that allows it to be very uptown, very downtown, very sophisticated. Its slightly mandarin collar, cuffs and bloused body make it a fit for so many bodies. It zips either all the way to the top of the collar or to the top of the jacket body and can be made leather, denim, wool or any number of novelty fabrics.
Life in the city is exhilarating, breathless and often intrusive. The Armour Coat is designed to give the wearer a feeling of cutting through the clutter of daily life, into its creative core. The contrast shawl collar and sleeve epaulettes provide not only warmth but protection, an image of strength and professionalism. The above-knee length makes it appropriate for work or after work, Wednesday or Saturday, jeans or leggings, tennies or heels.
Out to the store, pick up the groceries, go to a reading, meet your friends; whatever you need to do, the Swing Coat is ready to do it with you. Made from fleece, it is collarless, unlined, has three front buttons, drop shoulders, patch pockets and a wide swing pleat in the back. This coat goes in and out of the car, into the washer, over whatever you happen to be wearing and will make you look TERRIFIC!
Adapted from the Swing coat, with a more work/event vibe, this variation is unlined, has a velvet-lined collar, side seam pockets and a three button front. It has an even wider swing pleat in the back but is not quite so full at the bottom or under the arms. It is designed for fabrics with more weight than the Swing Coat, like wool or boiled wool.
Designed and named for an artist friend who likes to dress up but without the fuss! Here is a garment, longer in the back than in the front, simple V neckline with plenty of room, plenty of pzazz and plenty of comfort, that takes care of the fuss. Wear it over dressy pants or leggings, add smashing jewelry, get your attitude on and you are GOOD TO GO!
